New Mexico Swimming Pool Rules and Regulations
Regulations for the State of New Mexico for commercial swimming pools dictates the required safety equipment, pool rules signs, safety signs as well as various other traditional construction and safety regulations related to swimming pools.

Notes: | New Mexico has specific wording required for their No Lifeguard sign which includes Emergency Contact Info. New Mexico requires pool owners post pool rules and instructions in a conspicuous place. Most commercial swimming pool rules signs will comply with the New Mexico rules as long as they incorporate all common safety and health regulations required for swimming pools. |

- Rescue Pole 12' Required
- Ring Buoys Two 18" Life Ring Buoys Required
- Throw Line 1.5x max pool width throw line required.
- Depth Markers At water level and on deck. No more than 15 ft. intervals. Place at max and minimum. Both sides and ends. In Feet. 4 inches. SPA Depth Markers: with uniform depth, indicate maximum depth. No fewer than 2 regardless of size or shape. No Diving: Non-slip btwn depth markers where water depth is less than 5 ft. Symbol and words no Diving (Symbol 4”).
- Rope & Float Line 2 ft. into shallow portion of pool from the break in grade btwn deep and shallow portions. Separating diving area. Marked with visible floats no greater than 2 ft. intervals.
- Rescue Tube 1 per lifeguard
