Description
This is an ABS Hydrostatic Relief Valve for a 1-1/2 inch internal NPT or 2 inch NPT sump. This relief valve is made of corrosion resistant ABS plastic. It helps prevent pool damage due to external hydrostatic pressure beneath the pool shell when the pool is drained. At least one hydrostatic relief valve in a set of suction outlets will allow hydrostatic uplift pressure caused by ground water to be relieved into the pool or spa.Replacing your hydrostatic relief valve after you drain your pool is highly recommended.
