Description
The Hayward Pro Series S166T 16 Inch Aboveground Pool Filter System incorporates a 16 inch Pro Series Sand Filter, a 7-position Vari-Flo filter control valve, a 1 HP PowerFlo LX pool pump, a one-piece deluxe base, and a 1-1/2 inch hose package. The pumps and filters are performance-matched to provide maximum flow and energy efficiency.The Pro Series S166T holds 100 pounds of sand. It has a durable, corrosion-proof filter tank for long-lasting, all weather performance. The Pro Series filters feature a large pressure sand/water drain for rapid winterizing or servicing. They are equipped with precision-engineered umbrella-fold, self-cleaning laterals. The S166T model has a filtration area of 1.40 square feet and flow rate of 30 GPM.
On top of the filter sits a 7-position Vari-Flo valve. The Vari-Flo features an easy-to-use lever handle that allows you to dial up the seven functions. The functions are Filter, Backwash, Rinse, Waste, Recirculation, Close, and Winter. Plus it has an integral sight glass that allows you to see when the backwashing cycle is complete.
This aboveground system operates with a 1 HP PowerFlo LX pool pump that is designed for the rigors of an aboveground pool. It has corrosion-proof PermaGlassXL housing for all-weather performance. The pump features a clear cover that lets you see when the oversize strainer basket needs cleaning. The high-performance motor has a stainless steel shaft and automatic thermal overload protection.
