The Pentair Sand Dollar SD80 Top Mount EC Sand Filter has a flow rate of 80 GPM, includes a 6-Position Multiport 1-1/2 inch valve, and features a one-piece thermoplastic tank. The tank has a special internal design that maintains the sand bed level and ensures even flow. That results in the most efficient filtration possible. The Sand Dollar has a special lateral design that provides superior flow characteristics and long filter cycles for economic operation. Plus, the combination water and sand drain makes servicing and winterizing quick and easy.

This Sand Dollar filter is the perfect high-performance sand filter. Incredibly simple to operate and maintain, pool water is routed through the sand-filled pressure vessel. The sand traps particles so small they are undetectable to the naked eye. Over time, dirt accumulates in the spaces between the sand particles, causing the pressure in the vessel to rise. This signals you to "backwash" the filter by simply reversing the water flow and "knocking out" the dirt.

The six-position multiport valve puts all your filter functions right at your fingertips. Just rotate the handle to the desired position (Filter, Waste, Backwash, Closed, Rinse, Recirculate). Pool filter operation doesn't come any easier.
